Under Armour tops 2Q net income and revenue expectations
Under Armour Inc. (UA) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $14.8 million.
The Baltimore-based company said it had profit of 7 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 18 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 5 cents per share.
The sports apparel company posted revenue of $783.6 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Fourteen analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $761.8 million.
Under Armour expects full-year revenue of $3.84 billion.
Under Armour shares have climbed 32 percent since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has risen roughly 3 percent. The stock has increased 50 percent in the last 12 months.
