PowerShares Declares Tax Distributions for 3 ETFs

Invesco PowerShares Capital Management announced today that it expects to deliver zero long-term capital gains distributions across 120 of 123 equity and fixed-income ETFs for 2012."At Invesco PowerShares we are proud of our product line's tax efficient track record," said Ben Fulton, Invesco PowerShares managing director of global ETFs. Below are the three PowerShares ETFs with 2012 estimated distributions (per share):

--PowerShares S&P 500 Buy Write Portfolio (NYSEARCA:PBP) $0.13 - $0.16--PowerShares 1-30 Laddered Treasury Portfolio (NYSEARCA:PLW) $0.001 - $0.003--PowerShares Active Low Duration Fund (NYSEARCA:PLK) $0.045 - $0.075

The three PowerShares ETFs expected to make capital gains distributions this year represent less than 1% of franchise assets. The funds are expected to see long-term capital gains distributions under 1% of NAV per share.

The ex-date for the 2012capital gains distributions is anticipated to be Monday, December 24, 2012. The record date is anticipated to be Thursday, December 27, 2012, and the pay date is anticipated to be Monday, December 31, 2012.
