Italy's Enel Wins Tender for 100MW Wind Farm in Argentina

Enel SpA (ENEL.MI) has won the right to build a 100-megawatt wind farm in Argentina, the company said on Wednesday.

The Italian company said it is investing almost $130 million to build the Pampa plant in the country's Chubut province.

No further financial details were disclosed.

The project will be supported by a 20-year power purchase agreement for the sale of the plant's energy to the company that manages the country's wholesale electric market, Enel said.

The company expects the plant to start operations in the first half of 2020 and generate roughly 500 gigawatt hours of renewable energy a year.
