Sanofi Urges Philippines to Lift Dengue Vaccine Suspension -AFP

Sanofi SA (SAN.FR) on Monday said that its anti-dengue vaccine was safe and called on the Philippines to lift its suspension of the drug, AFP reports.

--The Philippines government accused the French pharmaceutical company of "dishonesty" after Sanofi had earlier said its Dengvaxia drug could cause severe symptoms in people who had not been infected with dengue, according to AFP.

--Sanofi's Thomas Triomphe said a disservice was being done to the country's population as the drug is safe and effective for the majority of the public, AFP reports.
