August Was Quiet for Stocks, But Expect a Rude Awakening

Despite the alternating boom and bust views of market participants (or maybe, because of them!), August turned out to be pretty much of a snoozer month. All the action happened early and then the last three weeks you could have been on vacation.

Of course, many people were on vacation, and if so, you didn’t miss anything. Look for fireworks to resume shortly, though, especially as we get closer to the elections.

Being Labor Day and all, I wanted to look at stocks that spring to mind when I think of summer. We’ll start with Winnebago Industries (NYSE:WGO).

The other stock, Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO), is one of my favorites, and I am always looking to buy on pullbacks. That’s just what I did earlier this week, so we’ll see if KO can resume its upward ways.

That’s it from my end.  Have a great holiday and see you next Friday.
