Head Of Uber's New York Operations To Leave The Company

The head of Uber's New York operations is leaving the company. Josh Mohrer, general manager of Uber New York, announced his decision Tuesday on Medium, saying that he will be joining Tusk Ventures, a political strategy firm, as managing director. Mohrer joined Uber in 2012. The move comes after Uber said it owes its New York drivers tens of millions of dollars after having had made an accounting error when calculating commission. Mohrer had previously come under fire at Uber for tracking a journalist and revealing the company's "God View" tool, which allowed the company to track customers, the Wall Street Journal reported.
