Media's contempt for Trump has been exposed: Varney

The media has made a series of mistakes in the last two weeks. Their contempt for the president has been exposed. The truth has become a casualty of their drive to undermine him. At all costs.

ABC’s Brian Ross issues a false report on the president and Gen. Flynn. Serious stuff—the Dow dropped 350 points as soon as the false report went public.

And Joy Behar, on “The View,” rejoiced at what turned out to be fake news. “The View” is an ABC News product—what kind of a news operation rejoices at bad news for America!

CNN impugned the standing of Donald Trump Jr. But they got the facts totally wrong. They took no action against the reporter. Nor did they question the sources. Were they protecting their deep state informers? Those informers are out to get the president, at all costs.

You could call this trivial, but CNN also got it wrong when describing the crowd at the president's rally in Florida. They deliberately used a photo taken before the event to make it look like few people showed. Pathetic. The place was packed.

And now, an exasperated president calls CNN’s Don Lemon the dumbest man on television. You're bullying him, says CNN.

We've been bringing you these stories all year, and some of our viewers suggest we stop, because we're giving too much attention to them. I'll go the other way on that, because the left controls most of what you read in newspapers or see on television—it is mass propaganda. If we don't point out the depths that the elite media has sunk to, who will?

Truth is, the president is right. This is what he tweeted on Sunday:

“Very little discussion of all the purposefully false and defamatory stories put out by the fake news media. They are out of control - correct reporting means nothing to them. Major lies written, then forced to be withdrawn after they are exposed. A stain on America!"
