Nissan Recalls 841K Vehicles Worldwide

Nissan announced Thursday a recall of 841,000 vehicles worldwide to fix a glitch with their steering wheels.

The Japanese automaker said the bolts used in the steering wheels may not be properly tightened and could come loose, perhaps resulting in a loss of steering, Nissan said in a filing with the Japanese transport ministry.

The company will address the problem by tightening the bolts or replacing the entire steering wheel.

Nissan’s Micra model manufactured in the U.K. between 2002 and 2006 will be recalled, in addition to several other models that were sold in Asia, Japan, Europe, Oceania, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
