30-year Fixed-rate Mortgage Ticks Up To 3.70%, Freddie Mac Says

Mortgage rates saw little movement ahead of the holidays, according to mortgage buyer Freddie Mac. The benchmark 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.70% in the week ending April 2, up from 3.69%. The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 2.98%, up from 2.97%. The 5-year Treasury-indexed hybrid adjustable-rate mortgage stayed at 2.92% and the 1-year Treasury-indexed ARM averaged 2.46%, also unchanged.
