Cooperman's Omega Takes $219 Mln Stake In Sprint

Omega Advisors, Inc. made a $219.5 million investment in Sprint Corp. , its single-largest new holding during the third quarter, according to a filing Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The hedge fund, run by Leon Cooperman, also disclosed it sold its entire holding of nearly 2.1 million shares in Crocs Inc. , without giving a value, making it the largest position eliminated in the quarter by the number of shares. It also sold out of positions in Apple Inc. (31,000 shares), Wells Fargo & Co. (1.65 million shares), Ascena Retail Group Inc. , which operates such stores as Lane Bryant and Dress Barn (1.9 million shares) and Electronic Arts Inc (750,000 shares), among others.Copyright © 2013 MarketWatch, Inc....
