Chile Colbun Reports 2012 Net of $48.8 Million Vs. $5.2 Million in 2011

Chilean power generator Colbun SA (COLBUN.SN) Wednesday reported its net profit increased to $48.8 million in 2012 from $5.2 million in 2011.Colbun's net profit increased partly due to an insurance payment related to the company's late start-up of one of its power plants, which was delayed by damages from an 8.8-magnitude earthquake in February 2010, the company said in a regulatory filing.Colbun's revenue rose 5.7% to $1.409 billion in 2012. The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or Ebitda, increased to $283.9 million from $204.7 million in 2011.Write to Graciela Ibanez at graciela.ibanez@dowjones.comOrder free Annual Report for ColbÛn SAVisit http://djnweurope.ar.wilink.com/?ticker=CLP3615W1037 or call +44 (0)208 391 6028Copyright © 2013 Dow Jones Newswires...
