Exxon CEO's 2012 Compensation at $40.2 Million, Up 15% From 2011

Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) said Friday that Chief Executive Rex Tillerson's total compensation reached $40.2 million in 2012, up 15% from 2011.Most of the increase was due to a change in pension value and other deferred compensation earnings, which rose to $13 million in 2012 from $9.8 million in 2011, the company said in a proxy report to shareholders.Mr. Tillerson's salary rose slightly to $2.56 million in 2012 from $2.38 million in 2011.
