Green Mountain's Chief Legal Officer To Step Down

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and Howard Malovany, the company's chief legal officer and corporate general counsel, are parting ways. In an 8-K regulatory filing Tuesday, Green Mountain said the company and Malovany "agreed" that he will step down March 31, 2013. The agreement was struck Dec. 13. Green Mountain gave no explanation for Malovany's departure in the filing, and a company spokesperson couldn't be immediately reached for comment. Malovany joined Green Mountain in February 2009. He previously served as general counsel of gum maker Wm. Wrigley. Green Mountain has been restructuring its executive team and board. On Tuesday, the company named former Fortune Brands CEO Norman Wesley as chairman and added former Kellogg CEO David Mackay to its its board. Green Mountain CEO Brian Kelley joined the company this month from Coca-Cola. In recent trades, Green Mountain shares gained 3% to $39.93.Copyright © 2012 MarketWatch, Inc....
