Chief Operating Officer Chase Carey said the ratings decline "American Idol" suffered in its 11th season on Fox means that the broadcaster has do a better job of "finding fresh energy" for the reality series. "Idol" brought in judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez for Season 10, but Carey said that since then, the show's producers haven't done enough to keep audiences excited about a show that has been on for so long.
