's (PCG) utility aims to settle lawsuits filed by victims of a fatal San Bruno pipeline explosion and expected fines related to the disaster in the next three to four months, the company's top executive said Monday.While the company has resolved "a number of major lawsuits" filed by "some of the most seriously injured victims," it has many more to go, Chief Executive Anthony Earley told reporters before the company's annual meeting in San Francisco."These victims deserve to be compensated," Earley said. He declined to say how many lawsuits PG&E has settled or to provide details of those settlements.A PG&E natural-gas pipeline in San Bruno exploded on Sept. 9, 2010, igniting a fireball that killed eight people, injured 58, destroyed 38 homes and damaged 70 others.
