German power and gas utility E.ON AG (EOAN.XE) said Tuesday its energy trading business has appointed Kevin Watler as new director for its trading activities in electricity and carbon dioxide allowances.MAIN FACTS:-E.ON Energy Trading said Mr. Watler's appointment as director of power and carbon trading takes effect Jan. 7.-Texas-native Mr. Watler joins from DTE Energy Trading in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he had been vice president of energy trading since 2004.-A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and with an MBA from the University of Michigan, Mr. Watler has over 15 years of experience in North American and European energy commodity markets. He was previously director of asset trading and optimization for Reliant Energy Trading & Marketing in the Netherlands and was senior power trader for Reliant Energy Trading & Marketing in Houston.-E.ON will integrate its Energy Trading and Global Gas units in May this year.
