Sprint Said Looking At Bid For T-Mobile: WSJ

Sprint Corp. , the No. 3 mobile-phone carrier in the U.S., is said to be weighing a bid for T-Mobile US Inc. that could be worth more than $20 billion. The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that Sprint is looking at regulatory issues with a possible deal, and could make a bid for T-Mobile in the first half of 2014. T-Mobile is the fourth-largest carrier in the U.S., and is majority-owned by German telecom giant Deutsche Telecom AG. Earlier this year, T-Mobile merged with rival MetroPCS Communications Inc.
