Interpublic Up 5% On Results

Ad agency giant Interpublic Group of Cos.

saw its shares advance 5% Friday on better-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings and news that its board has approved a $300 million stock buyback. The company joins peers Publicis Groupe S.A. and Omnicom as large global ad firms to post results that topped analysts' forecasts despite ongoing pressures related to the European debt crisis.
