98. IFF, a maker of flavors and fragrances for consumer products, reported a third-quarter profit of $1 a share. On average, analysts had forecast $1.04 a share, according to FactSet data. IFF said sales and profit for 2011 would be at the low end of its previous targets. In the recent quarter, the company said its fragrance ingredients were pressured as "price increases to reduce the impact of rising raw materials costs substantially impacted volumes of some lower value-added products."
