said Friday its third-quarter net income increased to $183 million, or $1.07 a share, from $163 million, or 96 cents a share, in the year-ago period. The Detroit power producer's revenue increased to $2.27 billion from $2.14 billion. Operating earnings totaled $1.07 a share. DTE Energy said it expects 2011 operating earnings of $3.50 to $3.70 per a share, compared to its earlier target of $3.40 to $3.70 a share. Wall Street analysts expected earnings of $1 a share and revenue of $2.1 billion, according to a survey by FactSet Research.
