(NYSE:MCD), took over Broomfield, Colo.-based Noodles in 2006. He has more than doubled the size of his chain to 284 restaurants in 19 states, with annual sales of about $300 million. Not even the 2008 financial crisis or the high unemployment that followed has stopped him.
