Dow Chemical to Appeal $1.2 Billion Judgment in Price Fixing Case

Dow Chemical Co. (DOW) said it plans to appeal a federal court's judgment ordering the chemical company to pay $1.2 billion for the alleged price fixing of urethane chemicals.The fine was ordered by a U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kansas, on Wednesday. Dow was one of several companies named in the price fixing suit, though other defendants had earlier settled the accusations while denying the charges.
