Ball Corp. on Thursday reported a third-quarter profit of $115 million, or 73 cents a share, down from $132 million, or 79 cents a share, a year earlier. Excluding one-time items, profit came in at 90 cents a share. Revenue for the packaging company inched higher to $2.28 billion from $2.26 billion.
