ABB Ltd. (ABBN.VX) said Monday its chief technology officer would leave the Swiss electrical engineering giant, creating the second vacancy in the company's C-suite in as many business days.Prith Banerjee, who joined ABB last year, will relocate to the U.S. to take a position "outside the company," ABB said in an early morning statement.Mr. Banerjee will be leaving ABB in the next few weeks though a date for his departure hasn't been decided, the company said, adding that it would announce a successor in "due course."Mr. Banerjee's sudden departure, which was attributed to undisclosed "family reasons," is the latest in a series of resignations that is creating an experience gap at the highest levels of the global engineering behemoth.
