After an initial debut on iPhone, Opera Mini 6 has now also been released for iPad, with features like tabbed browsing, mobile data compression (to help those who have their data capped), and Speed Dial (which shows users their favorite sites in one place). Further, users can synchronize their bookmarks and Speed Dial with their desktop version of Opera.

San Francisco Chronicle

San Francisco Chronicle devotees will be glad to hear that the newspaper released an iPad app. For the first 30 days, users will get free access and after that a monthly subscription will be $5.99. An annual subscription will cost $59.99. Like The Daily, the Chronicle app will provide 360-degree panoramic images and animations. It will also update itself during the day so users will always see the most up-to-date news.

Google Android OS

PayPal

In the digital financial world we live in, many complain that they still have to make the trip to the bank when they have a check to deposit. PayPal has an answer, though. Its latest Android app lets users take a photo of their checks and have it electronically deposited into their PayPal account, where it can be spent or transferred to their bank account. Its not the first app to allow this, however; Chase released Android and iOS apps not too long ago that let customers do the same thing.

Expedia Hotels

With Expedias new Hotels app for Android, users can research the perfect place to stay right from their handheld with hotel ratings provided by TripAdvisor.com. The app also shows an interactive map of hotels in the area a user is looking to stay. Finally, users can book the hotel through the app and even get directions to it.

Pizza Hut

Mmm& pizza. If youre so hungry you cant work up the energy to make a voice call, Pizza Hut has a solution for you. Its new Android app lets users order from their smartphones with a full menu. You dont even need to sign up for an account. And, in case you tend to order the same things, the app can save your previous orders for quick re-ordering.
