Treasurys Stay Down After Jobless Claims Data
By Deborah Levine
MarketWatch Pulse
NEW YORK -- Treasury prices rallied early on Thursday, pushing down yields by the most in two weeks, after a report showed initial jobless claims unexpectedly increased to 480,000 in the latest week. Yields on 10-year notes fell 8 basis points to 3.52%. Treasurys were much higher before the data after concerns about Greece's debt and other issues in Europe fueled a renewed flight to quality. Still to come is the leading indicators index and Philadelphia Federal Reserve index on manufacturing.
