U.S. Stocks Slip Along With Crude-oil Prices

    NEW YORK -- U.S. stocks tallied modest losses on Thursday, with shares in the energy sector leading the fall as crude oil prices fell after the government reported a rise in inventories. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was lately down 38.4 points at 10,252.86. The S&P 500 shed 5.15 points to 1,093.36. The Nasdaq Composite declined 5.38 points to 2,161.52.
