Stocks Retreat In Volatile Trade After Jobs Data
By Kate Gibson
MarketWatch Pulse
NEW YORK -- U.S. stocks took another dip into negative territory on Friday as investors mulled the October jobs report. The late morning sell-off has "more to do with a bit of strength in the dollar and a bit of weakness in commodities," said Art Hogan, chief market strategist, Jefferies & Co. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was recently off 13.98 points at 9,991.98. The S&P 500 Index fell 1.94 points to 1,064.69. The Nasdaq Composite shed 3.14 points to 2,102.24.
