Black Friday - and Beyond: Don't Miss Out
By Ann Hynek
FOXBusiness

An invitation-only Web site gets into the travel business. Find what you’re looking for at every store with a new shopping search engine. Don’t miss the great Black-Friday deals at Target and Wal-Mart. And don’t forget to donate to a worthy cause.
Welcome to OnSale at FOX Business, where we look at cool stuff and insane bargains.
Travel Trends
Invitation-only Web site Gilt Groupe, thinking outside luxury goods for men and women and now offering travel deals for a fraction of the cost.
Jetsetter.com has several vacation packages available now, with more on the way. If you’re looking for a getaway in the warm sunshine, you have until Sunday to book travel at Miami’s Modern Viceroy, overlooking Biscayne Bay, for rates starting at $110 per night. Or, if you’re looking to book a winter vacation at Lake Tahoe, check out the deals at the Resort at Squaw Creek. (That sale starts Sunday night.)
“Remember, it’s always best to travel early in the day and to book early,” says Jetsetter.com CEO Drew Patterson. "We have a calendar to help you plan, but when the sale opens, there’s a sense of urgency to book the days you want.”
Jetsetter.com lets you book a trip four to six months in advance. But hurry – inventory is limited so check upcoming destinations
and pick your preferred days before the sale begins.
All Shops, One Site
Online shopping site Pronto.com just launched two new sites to make preparing
for the holidays a little easier this year: ProntoStyle.com and
ProntoHome.com. Instead of typing in every retailer you can think
of and searching individual sites, you can save time by going to Pronto, typing in what you want, and finding a list of products
available at various sites online.
“It’s a search engine for shopping,” says Pronto CEO John Foley. “We’re not a retailer, we’re the place you go to find a collection
of retailers.”
Looking for a Marc Jacobs handbag? Simply go to ProntoStyle.com, type in ‘Marc Jacobs bag’ in the search queue, and ProntoStyle
posts all the sites for retailers carrying the latest accessories, from Net-A-Porter to Neiman Marcus. Don’t forget to check
out the pink “sale” tab for discounted items.
ProntoHome.com will help you find some of the best furnishings available throughout cyberspace. If you’re in the market for
a new couch, go to ProntoHome.com, type in “couch,” and you’ll find a list of retailers and prices to help you find what you’re
looking for.
Black Friday Deals
From 5am to midnight on Black Friday, Target (TGT) shoppers
who spend $100 in store will receive a $10 gift card to be used towards future purchases at Target or Target.com.
And it doesn’t end there. Starting November 29, Target.com is offering its "Give and Get Sweepstakes," through December 5.
The grand prize: $10,000 for you and an additional $10,000 for the school of your choice.
Walmart.com (WMT) is also offering 40% off 50 items on Friday,
which includes deals on digital cameras and flat screen TVs.
Check out CyberBlackFriday.com for the latest Black Friday coupons.
There are some out there now, and hundreds more will be added on November 27. Still looking for more? Try iblackfriday.com.
HopeLine for the Holidays
While you’re out shopping on Black Friday, remember to bring your old cell phone. Verizon Wireless (VZ)
stores will be collecting wireless phones and equipment through its HopeLine recycling program. The phone you donate may help
a survivor of domestic violence, and help support advocacy groups for victims of abuse.
And if you’re shopping online this holiday season, you can donate your old phone to HopeLine using the postage-paid mailing
label at www.verizonwireless.com/hopeline.
Know of a killer deal or insane bargain? E-mail the goods to OnSale@FOXBusiness.com,
and share the wealth.
