BANGKOK -(Dow Jones)- Consumer confidence in Thailand fell in February after three straight months of increases due mainly to higher oil prices and rising worries over the country's political uncertainty.
The Consumer Confidence Index dropped to 78.4 from 79.3 in January, according to a survey released Thursday by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce's Economic and Business Forecasting Center.
A reading below 100 means that consumers are more pessimistic than optimistic about the economy's prospects.
