Another late day rally pushed the major indices into positive territory on Thursday. The Dow ended the day up 1.2%, the Nasdaq Composite ended at 2.7% and the S&P 500 ended at 1.5%.
Here are today’s winners and losers:

settle at $6.70 a piece.
Moody’s Corp. (MCO)
The ratings agency followed the market higher, with shares gaining 12.4%, or $3.01, to settle at $27.36.
Tiffany & Co. (TIF)
Bulgari’s net loss sent shares of rival Tiffany higher on Thursday. The stock gained 11.7%, or $2.77, to close at $26.50.
Sherwin-Williams Co. (SHW)
Sherwin-Williams posted better-than-expected EPS results, but couldn’t quite meet the Street’s estimates on quarterly revenue.
Still, shares responded positively, closing up 11.5%, or $5.85, to settle at $56.96.
Host Hotels & Resorts Inc. (HST)
HST gained 10.9% after an equity offering by DiamondRock Hospitality earlier this week helped lift investors’ spirits. The
stock ended the session at $6.50, a gain of 64 cents.

Southwest Airlines Co. (LUV)
LUV posted a first-quarter loss and shareholders weren’t happy. The stock fell 7.1%, or 54 cents, on Thursday to last trade
at $7.10.

News that RadioShack is going to make a bigger push into the video game market sent GME shares down 6.9%. The stock closed
the day at $9.70, a loss of $2.20.
Newmont Mining Corp. (NEM)
Following sector and commodity trends, NEM dropped 5.9% on Thursday, closing at $39.80, a loss of $2.50.
Lincoln National Corp. (LNC)
A ratings cut late Wednesday hurt the insurer right at Thursday’s opening bell. The stock closed down 4.6%, or 56 cents, settling
at $9.62.
Aetna Inc. (AET)
AET felt the heat from the WellPoint merger as shares fell 4.2%. The stock closed Thursday at $26.06, a loss of $1.14.
