Market Winners & Losers: Invesco, New York Times

The major indexes put forth a valiant effort to buck the bad jobs data but ended the last session of the week on the down side. The Dow fell 0.2%, the S&P lost 0.5% and the Nasdaq dropped 0.5%.
Here are Friday’s winners and losers:
Winners
Invesco Ltd. (IVZ)
The investment-services company saw its shares jump 5.5%, or $1.19, to settle at $22.98 on Friday.
American International Group Inc. (AIG)
The insurance giant ended its losing streak, climbing 5.3% Friday. AIG shares last traded at $43.08, up $2.18 on the day.
E*TRADE Financial Corp. (ETFC)
The online-financial services company gained 5% to end the last session of the week. ETFC shares closed the session at $1.68,
up 8 cents on the day.
BB&T Corp. (BBT)
An analyst upgrade on the company helped boost its stock by 4.6% on Friday. BBT shares ended the session at $26.71, a gain
of $1.18 on the day.
Sprint Nextel Corp. (S)
The communications company ended the week in positive territory, adding 4.6% on the day. Sprint shares closed at $3.91, a
gain of 17 cents.
Losers
New York Times Co. (NYT)
The media company continued its losing streak, with shares falling 5.6% on Friday. NYT shares last traded at $7.32, down 43
cents on the day.
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. (GT)
The tire manufacturer posted a 5.4% loss to end the last session of the week. GT shares closed at $15.35 a loss of 87 cents
on the day.
Motorola Inc. (MOT)
The mobile phone manufacturer saw its shares fall 4.5% on Friday. MOT shares ended Friday at $7.99, down 87 cents on the day.
Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI)
The auto-parts maker dropped 4.4% on Friday, with shares ending at $23.77 – a loss of $1.10 on the day.
D.R. Horton Inc. (DHI)
The homebuilder lost 4.4% on Friday. DHI shares closed at $10.53, down 58 cents on the day.
