Italy PM Says Cabinet To Approve Consumer Stimulus Next Week

ROME (MF-Dow Jones)--The Italian cabinet is set next week to approve a plan to stimulate consumer spending, Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said Thursday.
Italian press have previously reported the size of the likely stimulus package as EUR300 million.
Berlusconi said Economy Minister Giulio Tremonti and Industry Minister Claudio Scajola had reached an agreement to approve the plan at a cabinet meeting next week.
