Three Days in the Valley: Liz Claman Sits with Intel Capital Vice President

Attempting to build out Wimax, a broadband wireless Internet technology, Intel Capital, the venture capital arm of Intel (INTC) announced Monday an alliance with telecommunications companies to handle the patents around WiMax.
In an interview with Fox Business Network’s Liz Claman, Intel Capital Vice President Sriam Viswanathan revealed the open patent alliance, which includes Allcatel, Lucent (LU), Samsung, Cisco (CSCO), Clearwire, Sprint (S) and Intel. The alliance is designed to agree on how the intellectual property on WiMax technology is handled.
