SkyWest's October Numbers On the Rise

SkyWest (SKYW) reported a 9.3% increase in revenue passenger miles for October, while its available seat miles increased 8.3% compared to last year.
The airline, which operates SkyWest Airlines and Southeast Airlines, reported a 9.5% increase in passenger boardings in October over the same month in 2008.
But Southeast also had the distinction of having the worst on-time performance of any airline in September, with only 72.2% of its flights considered on-time. SkyWest also was dinged on on-time performance in September as its Atlanta to Oklahoma City flight was late 88% of the time.
Shares of SkyWest eased 2.4% to $15.40 on Tuesday.
