Lufthansa Group's October Passengers Up 26.9%

FRANKFURT -- Deutsche Lufthansa AG said Tuesday that the group's total October passengers rose 26.9% to 7.95 million on the year. The number of Lufthansa Group's flights rose 24.5% in October from a year earlier, while the load factor in the passenger business rose by 1.7 percentage points to 80.5%. Lufthansa Group includes Lufthansa Passenger Airlines, Swiss, British Midland, Austrian Airlines, and Lufthansa Cargo. The number of passengers carried by Lufthansa Passenger Airlines rose 1.1% to 5.13 million in October from the same period a year ago, while the passenger load factor rose 2.1 percentage points to 80.2%.
