Airline Stocks Rise Slightly On Light Trading

NEW YORK -- Airline stocks were up Wednesday in light trading just before the Thanksgiving holiday. At last check, the NYSE Arca Airline Index rose a fraction to 26.68 with seven of its 13 components trading up. Shares of US Airways added nearly 1% to $3.32, while American parent AMR Corp. and United's UAL Corp. rose fractionally. Trading down, U.S.-listed shares of Lan Airlines slipped 2.3% to $15.01, Tam Sa declined less than 1% to $17.20 and Gol Linhas fell a faction to $13.64.
