Airline Stocks Climb With The Dow Benchmark

NEW YORK -- Airline stocks climbed Wednesday after amid a wider-market rally. At last check, the NYSE Arca Airline Index rose about 1% to 26.17 points with all but one of its 13 components trading up. Shares of American parent AMR Corp. rose about 3.2% to $5.77, Continental added 3.7% to $13.34 and US Airways rose 3.6% to $3.17. Trading down were shares of Ryanair , off less than 1% to $26.84. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose about 52 points to 10,299.
