LONDON -- Airline Aer Lingus said Monday that revenue fell 9.7% in the three months to Sep. 30. The firm said that yields continue to reflect poor market conditions and a weak economic environment, with short-haul average fares down 12.3% and long haul average fare down 17.0%. The firm said that it will take another A330 aircraft out of long haul service, bringing long haul winter operations to five units and summer 2010 to a maximum of six units. "While the fall in yield year on year continues, the pace of decline in average fares does not appear to be accelerating currently," it added.
