Mobile TeleSystems Q3 Net Income Down 4.1%

FRANKFURT -- Mobile TeleSystems OJSC , Russia's largest mobile phone operator, said Friday its third-quarter net income fell 4.1% to $494.4 million from $515.6 million in the same period a year ago. Revenue dropped 19.4% to $2.27 billion. The company said it continues to see "sustained macroeconomic volatility" in its markets of operations that may impact its performance.
