China Unicom 3G Revenue Trending Up, CEO Says

HONG KONG -- China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. , China's official carrier for Apple Inc.'s iPhone, is recording month-on-month gains in average revenue per user for its third-generation cellular services, according to a media report. China Unicom's Chief Executive Chang Xiaobing said average revenue per user for its 3G services was more than 100 yuan ($14.65) per month, and that revenues for these service were on a rising trend, according to Dow Jones Newswires, which cited comments made by Chang at a conference in Hong Kong Wednesday. Shares of China Unicom were up 0.6% at 10.56 Hong Kong dollars ($1.37) in mid-morning trade Wednesday.
