Symantec: Spam Makes Up 89% of Email

89% of all email messages sent in July were spam, or junk mail, said Symantec (SYMC).
The Internet security company released its monthly reports on spam and phishing online Thursday.
Spam volume averaged 89% of all email messages in July, according to the report. This number has been flunctuating between 85% and 95% since April.
Spam based on products jumped 8%, while spam based on health, which makes up a majority of the junk email, fell 17%.
Meanwhile, phishing attacks rose 52% in July from June.
