Research In Motion Board approves $1.2 Bilion share Buyback (RIMM)

Nov 05, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) ----11/5/2009-Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a common share repurchase program to buy shares with an aggregate price of up to USD$1.2 billion, or approximately 21 million common shares based on their current value. The total number of shares represents 3.6% of the company's float. The program could commence as early as November 9th and will remain in place for up to 12 months or until it is completed.
