Mentor Graphics To Buy Israel's Valor For $82 Mln

TEL AVIV -- Mentor Graphics Corp., the Wilsonville, Ore., provider of hardware- and software-design solutions, definitively agreed to pay $82 million for Valor Computerized Systems Ltd. Valor is the Yavne, Israel, provider of productivity-improvement software solutions for the printed-circuit-board-manufacturing supply chain. Subject to regulatory clearance, Mentor hopes to close the deal in the calendar first quarter, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
