Cisco Systems (CSCO) has reduced its head count at its Silicon Valley headquarters, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing sources.
Cisco has cut between 600 and 700 jobs at its headquarters in San Jose, Calif., the Journal said, and has trimmed jobs in branch offices as well.
Cisco, the biggest Internet networking company in the world, was founded in 1984 and has more than 66,000 employees. It was added to the 30-stock Dow Jones Industrial Average last month.
