In the wide and varied family of the thousands and thousands of funds out there, the exchange-traded fund is one of the more consumer-friendly ones.

Unlike mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, behave more like stocks. You can buy into an ETF at any time, and sell it whenever you feel like it. And like a stock, an ETF's value can rise and fall--depending on what the ETF is invested in.What do ETFs invest in? Well, they're typically linked to an index like the Dow Jones Industrial Average or the S&P 500. So, if you had an ETF that trades the same companies that make up the Dow or the S&P, it will rise and fall in value pretty much the same amount as the Dow or S&P.

You can also buy ETFs that invest in other types of products, like bonds, currencies, gold or other commodities. The ETF market has grown considerably in the past few years, so there is no shortage of ETFs to invest in.

Tempur-Pedic Introduces Two New Beds to Line of Luxury Sleep Systems

Improvements to the popular The DeluxeBed by Tempur-Pedic(TM) were also announced.

The BellaFina Bed by Tempur-Pedic(TM) combines our proprietary TEMPUR(R) material with our innovative TEMPUR-Flex(TM) Dynamic Support Technology. The BellaFina's two top layers of authentic TEMPUR(R) material gently conform to the body, relieving pressure and providing comfort, while the new TEMPUR-Flex(TM) Dynamic Support Layer interacts with the TEMPUR(R) material to provide a unique and buoyant sleep experience. The BellaFina's stylish cover is a super-stretchable textile trimmed with MicroSuede sides and is removable, washable, anti-microbial and hypo-allergenic. The 8-inch profile bed features a soft TEMPUR(R) material comfort layer on top of a firmer TEMPUR Support Layer and Standard Air flow System that improves air circulation. The bed's soft velour cover is removable, washable and allergen resistant. The AdvantageBed, which retails for $1,599 (Queen Flat Set), will be available in September 2008.

The DeluxeBed by Tempur-Pedic(TM) has long been one of Tempur-Pedic's most popular models. Beginning in fall 2008 it will be enhanced with a new stylish, advanced cover made from our exclusive TEMPUR-Tex(R) textile which features a unique three-layer-weave design to keep consumers cool, dry and comfortable. The cover is also removable, washable and allergen resistant. The enhanced DeluxeBed will maintain its current pricing ($2,599 Queen Flat Set) and be available in September 2008.
