FOXBusiness
The world’s largest retailer has begun selling caskets and urns on its Web site, according to a report published Wednesday.
Wal-Mart (WMT) is selling caskets and urns at prices below many funeral homes, the Associated Press reported.
The company is selling caskets with names such as, “Dad Remembered” and “Mom Remembered,” all of which are priced below $2,000, except for one model, called the Sienna Bronze Casket, priced at $3,199.
Wal-Mart’s caskets ship within 48 hours of purchase, however they cannot be returned, the AP said.
Shares of Wal-Mart rose 3 cents to close at $49.90 on Wednesday.
