Liz Claiborne Inc. Names Evon L. Jones Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer

NEW YORK, July 9, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ ----Liz Claiborne Inc. (NYSE: LIZ) today announced that Evon L. Jones will join the company as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer, July 14, 2008. Mr. Jones will report directly to Michael Scarpa, Chief Operating Officer, Liz Claiborne Inc.

Mr. Jones joins Liz Claiborne Inc. from Bausch & Lomb in Rochester, NY where he was Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for The Dial Corporation in Scottsdale, AZ. Throughout his career, Mr. Jones has held numerous technology-related positions for a number of large corporations including the following financial institutions Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers and American Express.
