In the wide and varied family of the thousands and thousands of funds out there, the exchange-traded fund is one of the more consumer-friendly ones.
Unlike mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, behave more like stocks. You can buy
into an ETF at any time, and sell it whenever you feel like it. And like a stock, an ETF's value can rise and fall--depending
on what the ETF is invested in.What do ETFs invest in? Well, they're typically linked to an index like the Dow Jones Industrial
Average or the S&P 500. So, if you had an ETF that trades the same companies that make up the Dow or the S&P, it will
rise and fall in value pretty much the same amount as the Dow or S&P.
You can also buy ETFs that invest in other
types of products, like bonds, currencies, gold or other commodities. The ETF market has grown considerably in the past few
years, so there is no shortage of ETFs to invest in.

Lehman Trikes supports Riding for Smiles
Comtex
SPEARFISH, SD, Jul 30, 2008 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) ----TSXV -- LHT
Lehman Trikes is proud to announce that it is supporting "Riding for Smiles." Riding for Smiles is one of those happy stories that occasionally gets into the news. Ken and Shannon Wilson of Dellwood, Minnesota are passionate about riding and decided that they could do something good for someone else at the same time. The Wilson's often discussed how some children never receive a present at Christmas and many others go to sleep at night without knowing from where their next meal will come. The Wilson's decided that they could bring smiles to some of these children's faces. They chose to raise money for the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) while riding over 8,000 miles in 30 days.
On July 25, 2008 they left their home in Minnesota. On July 29, 2008 they made a stop at Lehman Trikes in Spearfish, SD where a Lehman technician performed a thorough check up on Shannon's Lehman Trike. Additionally, the couple was presented a one thousand dollar ($1,000) check for UNICEF on the behalf of Lehman Trikes. Lehman Trikes is proud to be a part of the Wilson's journey and their cause, Riding for Smiles.
The Wilson's have a website www.ridingforsmiles.com which provides details about their trip, including satellite tracking which provides their exact location at any time during their journey. The Wilson's are also being sponsored by the Yamaha Star Touring and Riding Association and Rider Magazine in their national effort to raise money for UNICEF. Ken and Shannon, Lehman Trikes, and other sponsors ask all riders to organize their own Riding for Smiles rides for UNICEF. Contributions can be made through a secure website at www.unicef.org/support/index.html, then click on Donate Now.
Dan Patterson, CEO of Lehman Trikes stated, "What the Wilson's are doing is admirable. We are proud to sponsor their efforts in this great cause. It is a reminder that each of us can make a difference in a child's life by simply giving what we can."
