J.Crew Shares Rise More Than 8% on Q3 Earnings Beat

Shares of J Crew Group, Inc. (JCG) rose more than 8% Wednesday, after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter earnings.
The clothing company saw profit of $43.9 million, or 67 cents a share, compared to earnings of $19 million, or 30 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters were expecting the company to earn 58 cents a share.
Revenue rose 14% from the year-ago period to $414.1 million, and same-store sales rose 8% during the quarter.
